Bob's Thoughts part Deux

2009

Bob doesn't think that the robots will take over control of the world.

Bob believes that: At no time will the president of the US rely on the opinion of a computer to make
a decision.

He believes this in spite of the fact that President Barack Obama uses Google's services to obtain
public opinion so that he can craft speeches that will appeal to the majority of his voters.  In other
words, Bob is already wrong, but he doesn't know it yet.

Bob believes that: At no time will the CEO of a corporation rely on the opinion of a computer to make
a decision.

Again, Bob simply doesn't have a handle on current reality.

You may wonder how Bob could have such opinions at a point in time when people regularly use
their smartphones to provide GPS guidance.  The reason is that Bob is not really conscious of the
concepts that now govern the world around him.  When he sees someone else using a GPS, he still
feels like that person is in charge and not really taking guidance from a robot.  That is simply the
way his mind works.  As I say, he is not really conscious of what is going on in the world.
