Expert Systems based on IBM Watson Technology

Background information

Famously, Xerox PARC invented many things which were not used by Xerox to invent the PC revolution.
Apple stole the technology and tried to sue Microsoft for taking it also.  They both ended up with their
own versions and Xerox PARC ended up with nada.

Will IBM realize how much potential there is with their Watson? The cost of Watson was only $3 million
and every year that will become less and less. It seems to me that it could be programmed to answer
tax questions as well as other accounting questions.  The Internal Revenue Service notoriously has
personnel who answer tax questions incorrectly more than half of the time.  A telephone hotline which
had Watson answering questions for $100 per hour would be worth it given that most questions would
take only five minutes or less to answer.
